Chris Wicks has been passionate about wild animals since his childhood and had a dream of creating an animal shelter. After years of being a lorry driver, he decided to finally do it when he turned 60. Chris founded a wildlife rescue centre which became a temporary home for many birds, mammals, and reptiles. Surprisingly it also created a safe place for many people. The shelter became a human rescue as well, where volunteers and his son Harry were able to help themselves psychologically surrounded by wild animals and warm relationships.
